This spring, Candlewick Press is publishing my cousin Miriam Stone’s moving, elegiac book about saying goodbye to her mother, who passed away in 1999. At just the age 21, she has written a beautiful work that's a combination of poetry and memoir, and that speaks to anyone who has experienced grief or loss.
